Watson Electrical is seeking a Foreman responsible for supervising and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards. This role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to evaluate crew performance, and coordination with project managers and engineers. Candidates should be physically capable, able to manage heavy lifting, and familiar with safety procedures on construction sites.
A Foreman is a professional who is responsible for monitoring and supervising the construction process to ensure everything is being done within deadlines and all the set standards for construction are being met. These candidates monitor the progress of construction and report it to the construction head and client. Hence, these candidates are responsible for the construction crew and the work done by them
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Providing support and leadership to workers to achieve the project goals and explaining the job responsibilities to each segment of staff
-Evaluating crew performance and recommending the required changes in the working style or equipment used to enhance the proficiency of the workers
-Ensuring employees adhere to company polices and work procedures to ensure safety of the workers at the work place
-Coordination with project managers, superintendents, site engineers, and construction contractors involved in the project
-Preparing necessary documentation like staff attendance and details of all the construction crew
-Preparation of contracts, additions and deletions in the contract terms with the professionals associated with the construction project
Physical Demands
-Working near moving machinery/tools which requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, must be able to move quickly and have excellent stamina
-Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects (over 50 lbs.), use legs, hips, shoulders, abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
-Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and climb a ladder
