Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs pre and post daily inspection of dozer to ensure that the machine is in proper working order. Includes fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Performs some maintenance and reports to supervisor when repair or other maintenance is needed.
• Maintains clean housekeeping on machine and jobsite.
• Cut ditches, slopes, grades, clears brush, shapes and dresses slopes, and other earth moving activities.
• Reads grade stakes and works with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
• Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience with emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges preferred.
• Knowledge and use of GPS systems preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Must have strong knowledge of finish grading.
• GPS knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to operate a dozer at expert level.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be safety oriented.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions, communicate tactfully and effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
• Able to learn and comply with all safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Able to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Ability to travel and to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Must be 18 years of age.
