Job summary

Superior Paving Corp. seeks a Foreman for the Grading Crew in Central Virginia. You will supervise a crew of up to 5 laborers, oversee daily activities, equipment, materials, and safety compliance on grading projects.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to read construction drawings, and experience with field operations. Travel to projects in Central Virginia is expected; overtime, weekends, and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in construction or equivalent experience with Superior Paving.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Ability to maintain project documentation and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and direct crews; monitor performance.
• Tour site, check quality, and optimize utilization of workers and equipment.
• Maintain daily logs and report equipment repairs promptly.
• Communicate asphalt yields and assist field engineering as needed.
• Track employee time and attendance and uphold safety policies.
