Job summary

The job involves physical sorting, tagging, and rotating stock, while following safety guidelines and company policies. Prior retail experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Stays abreast of brand names, designer labels, styles, and price points.
• Sorts apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories, and racks hangers.
• Tags and sizes apparel and moves it from sort to sales floor.
• Provides quality assurance by checking for tears, stains, damaged items.
• Recognizes brand names and pricing; grades quality of apparel.
• Keeps sorting and processing areas neat and clean.
• Follows safety practices and reports hazards or injuries.
• Reviews CPSCs recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items.
• Handles equipment safely; pushes, not pulls.
• Assists with floor running, rotation, and dressing room cleaning.
• Attends in-service trainings and performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $12.50 To $12.50 Hourly

• Stays abreast of brand names, designer labels, current and vintage styles, and price points for soft line goods.
• Sorts apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories. Place all salable apparel in the hang area of the sort table, tag and/or size apparel, hang apparel onto racks and transport racks of hung apparel to sales floor.
• Provides quality assurance by checking for tears, stains, wet, smelly, soiled, broken zippers, missing buttons.
• Recognize apparel brand names, knowledgeable on pricing, and grade quality of apparel.
• Achieves and exceeding the MGI production goals of (4) Dandux/Tallboys each day.
• Maintains sorting and processing area in a neat and clean condition at all times.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures; follow good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Team Leader Coach or ATL.
• Reviews and utilizes current Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items from being sold in the store.
• Handles equipment and follow safety procedures when moving equipment: push, not pull and never overfill equipment.
• May assists with floor running, apparel rotation, cleaning dressing rooms as needed.
• Responsible for performing assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles.
• Attends in-service related training as assigned by Team Leader Coach.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader Coach.
