Job summary

Knife River Central Idaho Division is seeking Grade Crew Laborers to perform safe, productive duties on assigned tasks at Kellogg, Idaho area. The role requires physical work including standing, lifting, and operating tools and machines, with shifts that may include day and night hours.

Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for Grade Crew Laborers in the Kellogg, Idaho area.

Responsibilities
  • Person shall demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform duties as assigned
  • Person shall communicate and listen effectively
  • Persons shall be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel
  • Job requires steady to intermittent and repetitive physical activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and raking
  • Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites
  • Participate in demolitions, remove trees and debris
  • Some traffic control
  • Operate tools and various machines
Minimum Qualifications
  • Has general knowledge of construction work
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts; shifts may vary according to project demands
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be willing to travel if the job requires
