Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced foreman to provide on-site supervision of highway heavy civil crews in North Carolina. The role requires reading plans, coordinating equipment, and maintaining schedules with safety as a priority.

You will manage field operations, ensure weekly time cards and daily reports, and address issues promptly. Travel may be required, and a valid Driver's License is essential for site coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in highway heavy civil construction.
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices
• Must be familiar with heavy equipment
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools
• Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs
• Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills
• Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
