Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Grade Control Validation Engineer to develop, integrate, and test advanced grade control systems for earthmoving and mining equipment.

You will work closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality products that meet safety, productivity, and accuracy requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, hands-on validation experience, and the ability to operate in a field environment at Green Valley, AZ (Tucson Proving Grounds).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software vehicle product testing and validation.
• Knowledge of mining technology and industry trends.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex testing problems.
• Familiarity with structured software development life cycle processes.
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.

Responsibilities

• Translate system requirements into validation plans and test cases.
• Document and communicate issues found during testing and validation.
• Coordinate with on-site machine owners to schedule testing.
• Lead hourly staff on machine installs and validation activities.
