Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Grade Control Validation Engineer in Green Valley, AZ, to develop, integrate and test complex grade control systems for mining equipment.

This hands-on role involves coordinating validation activities, working with machine owners and hourly staff, and ensuring safety, productivity, and product value for customers. The candidate will translate requirements into validation plans, document issues, and apply knowledge of software development life cycle and

Qualifications

Extensive experience in software vehicle product testing.
Knowledge of mining technology, trends and regulatory considerations.
Ability to recognize, document, and resolve testing issues.
Knowledge of software development life cycle processes.
Technical troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

Translate system requirements into validation plans.
Document and communicate issues found during testing.
Coordinate machine testing with on-site owners.
Lead hourly staff on machine installs and validation activities.
