Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Staffed Technologies Validation Engineer to develop, test, and validate software systems for staffed, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines at the Tucson Proving Grounds.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Experience with CAT MineStar systems (Health, Fleet, Detect, CMD).
- Experience with on-machine validation.
- Experience with Vector tools CANape and CANalyzer.
- Linux operating system experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot technology software systems for staffed, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines.
- Create validation plans and ensure successful execution of those plans.
- Collaborate with other engineers to meet internal and external client needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation and clear communication of issues.
