Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Staffed Technologies Validation Engineer for the Tucson Proving Grounds. The role involves developing, testing, and troubleshooting software systems for staffed, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines.

You will design validation plans and collaborate with engineering teams to meet client needs. Strong candidates will have CAT MineStar experience, Linux proficiency, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Robotics or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with software product testing and validation.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with on-machine validation and debugging hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot software systems for staffed, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines.
• Create thorough validation plans and ensure their execution with rigorous documentation of issues.
• Collaborate with other engineers and support teams to meet client needs and expectations.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies through self-study and conferences.
