Job summary

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is seeking a Grade 8 Math teacher for the Middle School in Rochester, NY. The candidate will teach using the Ready Classroom Mathematics curriculum and participate in a data-driven instructional approach. Ideal candidates hold NYS certification; out-of-state certs will be considered.

A Bachelor's in Education is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. Salary is based on NYS certification, experience, and master’s completion, with a base raise in Fall

• Must possess New York State certification or out-of-state equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or completed teacher certification program.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Grade 8 Math using the Ready Classroom Mathematics curriculum.
• Plan and deliver instruction for 90 minutes of math per day to classes up to 75 students.
• Impact instruction by using readily available student data for planning.
• Collaborate with the middle school team and leaders to improve student outcomes.

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Math 8Teacher in our Middle School building for a 2026-2027 opening. We are actively seeking a dynamic and motivated member of the Middle School team.

Candidates can expect:

• Full curriculum and assessment system from Ready Classroom Mathematics
• An intevention period where the teachercan plan small group instruction
• Students to have 90 minutes of math per day, max number of students is 75
• To focus instruction around easily accessible student data
• Close knit school community, great collegues and leaders
• Opportunties for leadership
• Full benefits including New York State Teachers' Retirement

Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification. Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or have completed a teacher certification program.
