Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs of students.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes regularly at designated times.
• Create a classroom environment that supports student learning and objectives.
• Provide an instructional program to meet all students' needs.
• Prepare for classes and show written evidence of preparation on request.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives to students.
• Establish learning objectives aligned with VBCPS curriculum and student development.
• Use instructional methods and resources to motivate and enable learning.
• Take safety precautions to protect students and property.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and law.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and maintaining classroom order.
• Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when needed.
• Establish relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community.
