Job summary

Under the principal's direction, you will assess student outcomes, maintain records, communicate with families and staff, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs while upholding VBCPS policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Virginia teaching license or eligibility.
• Ability to implement the VBCPS curriculum and diverse teaching strategies.
• Strong communication with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets students' needs, interests and abilities.
• Instruct assigned classes regularly at designated times and locations.
• Create a classroom environment that supports student learning and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required procedures.
• Communicate with students, parents, staff and community as needed.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons and units.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher assistants and volunteers.
