The Central Falls School District seeks a talented, knowledgeable Grade 5 Special Educator to join Veterans Memorial Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications

• Valid Rhode Island teaching certificate in Elementary Special Education required.
• Valid Rhode Island teaching certificate in ESOL, or willingness to become emergency certified and complete certification within three years.
• Bilingual candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction based on the Common Core Standards and the assigned IEP.
• Implement, develop, and manage services and IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate and implement service delivery with general educators, related services providers, and support staff.
• Develop and implement classroom accommodations and modifications to address IEP goals.
• Assess progress, maintain documentation, and report as specified in plans.
• Communicate regularly with families about student performance and progress.
