Summary: The Elementary Teacher is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within an elementary school.
2025/2026 School Year Self contained classroom.

Job knowledge: Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; understands how the job relates to others; uses resources effectively.
Judgment: Displays willingness to make decisions; supports and explains reasoning for decisions; includes appropriate people in decision-making process; makes timely decisions.
Project management: Develops project plans, coordinates projects, communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time and within budget; manages project team activities.
Planning & Organization: Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; integrates changes smoothly; sets goals and objectives; works in an organized manner.
Licensing & Compliance: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Elementary Education; Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Elementary Education.
Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets documents; responds to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, or the community; writes speeches and presents to managers, the public, and school board.
Mathematical skills: Works with concepts such as probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, and applies fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning ability: Solves practical problems; interprets instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
Physical activities: Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing.
Lifting demands: Up to 10 pounds.
Reaching activities: Both dominant and non-dominant hand; overhead.
Environmental conditions: Noise intensity moderate.
