Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with Para Pro exam or 60 college hours.
• Experience interacting with children and strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use instructional tools.

Responsibilities

• Administers, scores, and records achievement and diagnostic tests as advised.
• Works with students singly or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assists in devising strategies to reinforce material and skills.
• Operates and cares for classroom equipment used for instruction.
• Helps students master materials assigned by the teacher.
• Guides independent study, enrichment, and remedial work.
• Guides students with group activities and reading aloud.
• Supervises tests and make-up work as assigned.
• Reads to students and listens as they read; participates in oral/written communication.
• Reports any problems or information about a student to the teacher.
