Job summary

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Two years of college (60 hours) or an Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Provide documentation of passing the Paraprofessional Exam.
• Willingness to obtain crisis intervention, CPR, and first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional programs under supervision of a teacher.
• Supervises and instructs students in classrooms, cafeteria, and on trips.
• Monitors safety and maintains positive learning environments.
• Assists with activities of daily living for students as needed.
• Documents progress and communicates with staff about student needs.
• Performs clerical tasks to support classroom objectives.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows district policies.
• Attends required meetings and trainings.
