Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician II – GPU Specialist to support and maintain GPU-based compute environments and data center infrastructure in Reno, NV.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering, IT, CS or related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5 years in data center operations, labs, HPC or related infrastructure.
• Experience with GPU-based systems, servers, PCBs, and large-scale deployments.
• Proficiency with DCIM platforms such as Nautobot or similar tooling.
• Experience with scripting and automation (Shell, Python, Ansible).
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSL/TLS.
• Experience administering Linux, Windows, macOS environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Compute Farm & Infrastructure Operations: manage GPU compute farm, monitor health, lead recovery and incident response, deploy/configure GPU servers and workstations, handle rack and cabling tasks.
• Engineering Support: collaborate with system architects, hardware/software QA; troubleshoot hardware/software/networking issues; support validation and deployment activities.
• Process Improvement & Documentation: collect metrics, develop SOPs and runbooks, drive continuous improvement, participate in change management.
• Systems Administration & Automation: support Linux/Windows/macOS; use scripting to automate tasks; maintain asset records in DCIM; assist with automation initiatives.
