Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) are building a center of excellence for IP applied to high-performance computing devices. We are seeking a Staff GPU Design Verification Engineer – Formal Verification to contribute to block and subsystem level formal verification for our next-generation mobile GPU.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in CS/Engineering, or 4+ years with a Master’s, or 2+ years with a Ph.D.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in GPU, CPU, or advanced semiconductor design verification with a focus in formal verification.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and graphics pipelines.
• Proficient in Python, Perl, C/C++, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
• Experience with formal verification EDA tools and methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate across RTL, architecture, and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Define verification goals, properties, coverage, and sign-off criteria for GPU features.
• Architect and implement formal verification environments and models.
• Develop assertions and properties to validate complex graphics/compute behavior.
• Analyze formal Failures, trace counterexamples, and drive root-cause resolution.
• Collaborate with RTL, architecture, and design teams to ensure architectural alignment.
