Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff GPU Design Verification Engineer – Subsystems to shape verification strategy for next-generation mobile GPUs. The role emphasizes system-level validation, architectural intent, and cross-team leadership across architecture, design, and software.

You will develop verification environments, drive constrained-random testing, and mentor engineers while ensuring high-quality silicon across multiple subsystems in a fast-paced, global team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 8+ years with a Master’s, or 6+ years with a Ph.D.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in GPU, CPU, or advanced semiconductor design verification.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and GPU subsystem design, including block-level and subsystem-level integration.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, Perl, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM, including constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and assertions.
• Experience with building configurable UVM testbenches for reuse across design hierarchies.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification plans, goals, and coverage metrics for GPU subsystems.
• Architect and implement scalable verification environments using SystemVerilog, UVM, and C++.
• Execute constrained-random testing and track functional coverage to ensure architectural intent.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with design teams for resolution.
• Mentor engineers and advance verification methodologies within a global team.
