Job summary

AMD is seeking a Data Center Platform System Manager to lead a north Austin data center with 1000+ systems. You will oversee day-to-day operations, deployment, and availability of AMD Instinct platforms, and manage a team of engineers and technicians on site.

The role requires prior data center leadership experience, strong executive communication, and hands-on problem solving to ensure peak performance and uptime across a large GPU infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Experience managing a data center with 500+ systems or platforms is preferred.
• Strong leadership and executive communication skills.
• Ability to map root-cause analysis and drive issue resolution in a large-scale environment.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of a data center site with a vast array of differing platforms/systems.
• Personnel and work assigned management of data center engineers and technicians.
• Clear and concise communication in daily meetings with emphasis on system availability.
• Knowledge in root-cause analysis and debugging methodologies.
• Provide leadership input and drive organizational improvements.
