Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Data Center Compute Engineer to prepare newly implemented environments for reliable day-to-day operations. The role focuses on deploying advanced GPU/accelerator infrastructure across large-scale data centers, balancing hands-on hardware work with software automation to accelerate deployments.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment, has strong Linux admin skills, and can collaborate across networking, infrastructure, and hardware teams

Qualifications

• Strong Linux systems administration experience in production environments.
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with computer hardware, firmware, and server management interfaces.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based infrastructure and bare-metal provisioning is desirable.
• Ability to diagnose issues across hardware, OS, firmware, networking, and software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transition of new environments into production-ready systems.
• Prepare and evaluate rack-based computing systems with standardized configurations.
• Configure core system settings and embedded management tools.
• Develop software-driven solutions to simplify deployment and testing.
• Investigate hardware, firmware, and software issues and coordinate fixes.
• Assist with deploying servers and activating systems across environments.
• Collaborate with networking, infrastructure, operations, and hardware engineering teams.
• Support deployment activities and meet project timelines.
• Travel approximately 20–30% as required for data center deployments.
