Job summary

ASRC Industrial Services (AIS) is seeking a Scraper Operator to safely operate self-propelled or pull-type scrapers for mass earthmoving in support of heavy civil construction projects. You will work with GPS machine control systems and project teams to achieve production and grade objectives.

The role requires 3+ years of scraper experience, familiarity with GPS control systems, and the ability to follow safety policies and procedures on outdoor construction sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years operating scrapers on large projects.
• Experience with GPS machine control systems.
• Able to obtain security clearance for secure facilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication.
• Ability to read plans and perform grade work.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate self-propelled or pull-type scrapers to excavate, load, haul, spread, and place earth.
• Use GPS machine control to maintain grades and elevations.
• Perform mass grading and finishing grade operations.
• Read and interpret project plans and digital grade models.
• Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with survey crews and foremen to maintain workflow.
