Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks a GPS Machine Control General Foreman to oversee a crew and GPS-equipped pile drivers on a utility-scale solar construction site. You will ensure proper setup, calibration, and operation of GPS-driven equipment, with focus on accuracy, safety, and on-time installation.

Hands-on experience with GPS machine-control systems.
Experience with Trimble Groundworks.
Solar pile installation or civil construction experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in heavy construction.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee a crew supporting GPS-equipped pile drivers and pile installation operations, with earthmoving support as needed.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Trimble Groundworks and related GPS systems used on pile-driving equipment.
Verify pile driver has current approved pile plan, project, block, site calibration, and installation information before production.
Confirm pile IDs, design coordinates, pile types and sizes, and orientations match plans and machine settings.
Perform and document machine setup and calibration checks, including antenna offsets, mast alignment, and sensors per manufacturer procedures.
Verify pile-driver positioning against survey control and check points before production, after relocation or repairs, and when accuracy concerns arise.
