Job summary

BOOST LLC is seeking a GPS Modernization Engineer to support the AIR PNT team within the Navy program office, delivering navigation engineering for EGI and GPS receivers across multiple platforms. This role emphasizes modernization efforts to enhance PNT performance in contested environments.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in engineering with a focus on navigation systems and substantial on-site experience at Patuxent River, MD, including the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Progressive professional engineering experience with defense aviation navigation platforms.
• Experience with EGI/GPS receiver integration is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of M-code GPS modernization or GPS-contested/denied environments is a plus.
• Must work onsite 100% at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland and be able to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide navigation engineering support for the integration, testing, and sustainment of EGI and GPS receivers across naval aviation platforms.
• Support platform integration efforts on aircraft including E-2D, F/A-18, C-130J, MQ-4C, H-1/60, CH-53K, MV-22, P-8A, and E-6B.
• Contribute to the transition to M-code GPS capability for assured PNT in contested environments.
• Review and prepare engineering documents including ECPs, CDRLs, white papers, and platform integration plans.
• Support requirements analysis, design evaluation, and verification across the navigation systems lifecycle.
• Coordinate with platform offices, engineering teams, and stakeholders to align requirements and schedules.
• Support test planning, procedures, and evaluation to validate receiver and system performance.
• Identify integration risks and mitigation strategies.
