Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking an experienced GPS Dozer Operator / Team Lead in Charles Town, WV. You will operate CAT dozers, set up Trimble GPS models, verify grades, and lead field crews to complete mass earthwork on time and on grade.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily tasks, maintaining logs, and delivering safety-focused leadership from the cab and field. Direct placement, full-time role with opportunities to advance within civil earthwork projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of heavy dozer operation in civil earthwork.
• 2+ years using Trimble GPS-guided systems including grade layout.
• 2+ years leading site crews and daily field workflows.
• OSHA 10 Certification is required (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Familiarity with HeavyJob or electronic daily project logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT dozers (D3—D8) for mass excavation, grading, and site setup.
• Set up Trimble GPS base stations/rovers and verify grade against plans.
• Direct field crews and coordinate daily tasks to keep work on schedule.
• Complete daily equipment logs and track production hours and delays.
• Lead toolbox talks and enforce safety protocols around machinery.
• Provide on-site leadership and report progress to Project Lead.
