Job summary

Aerotek in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support landfill construction and cell development projects. You will operate CAT D6 dozers and production excavators, perform grading, earthmoving and slope work, and help maintain production goals on a long-term regional site.

This contract role offers 10–12 hour shifts, overtime, company-paid lodging for travel, and a daily per diem.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience with dozers, excavators, landfill, earthwork, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to work extended hours and travel as project demands require.
• Strong attendance and reliability.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to support landfill construction and cell development projects throughout the region. You will primarily work on CAT D6 dozers and production excavators, performing tasks such as grading, earthmoving, landfill cell construction, slope work, and material placement.

Responsibilities

• Landfill construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel extensively.

Work Environment

Work outdoors in landfill and heavy civil construction environments, often on active landfill construction projects. Expect a five-day work week with overtime available and frequent travel required. Be prepared for exposure to varying weather conditions and terrain. Company provides a hard hat and safety vest, but employees must provide their own steel-toe boots (above the ankle), work pants, and T-shirts. General labor and high stamina are required.

This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
