Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced GPS Dozer Operator / Team Lead for a direct placement to lead heavy dozer operations in civil earthwork projects. You will set up Trimble GPS models, verify grades, and direct field crews to achieve on-grade mass earthwork on schedule.

The role requires 4+ years of heavy dozer experience, 2+ years with Trimble GPS, and 2+ years of leadership. OSHA 10 and a valid driver's license are required; OSHA 30 is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of heavy dozer operation experience, civil earthwork preferred.
• 2+ years using Trimble GPS-guided systems for grade layout and verification.
• 2+ years leading site crews and managing daily field workflows.
• Valid Driver's License and OSHA 10 Certification (OSHA 30 optional).
• Familiarity with HeavyJob or similar daily logging tools.
• Competency across CAT dozers from D3 to D8 and basic supporting iron.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT dozers (D3–D8) for mass excavation and grading.
• Set up Trimble GPS base stations/rovers and verify grade against plans.
• Lead site crews, delegate tasks, and report progress to the Project Lead.
• Maintain daily equipment logs and track production with HeavyJob or similar tools.
• Support auxiliary equipment when required to maintain workflow.
• Lead toolbox talks and enforce safety protocols around heavy machinery.
