Job summary

Abernethy-Contracting in Charlotte, NC is seeking a GPS Dozer Operator experienced in fine grading to join our heavy civil team. You’ll operate GPS dozers to achieve precise grades while adhering to safety protocols and site procedures.

This role supports project progress with attention to quality and efficiency. You will collaborate with crew members on grading plans, conduct routine equipment inspections, and adapt to changing site conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating GPS Dozer with focus on fine grading.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel 60–75 miles within the Charlotte metro area.

Responsibilities

• Operate GPS Dozer with a focus on fine grading.
• Collaborate with team to execute grading plans accurately.
• Follow safety regulations and site protocols to promote a safe work environment.
• Perform routine inspections and report maintenance on equipment.
• May perform other job site duties as required.
