Abernethy-Contracting in Charlotte, NC is seeking a GPS Dozer Operator experienced in fine grading to join our heavy civil team. You’ll operate GPS dozers to achieve precise grades while adhering to safety protocols and site procedures.

This role supports project progress with attention to quality and efficiency. You will collaborate with crew members on grading plans, conduct routine equipment inspections, and adapt to changing site conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating GPS Dozer with focus on fine grading.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel 60–75 miles within the Charlotte metro area.

• Treat co-workers, subcontractors and customers with respect and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating GPS Dozer, with a focus on fine grading.
• Ability to adapt, prioritize and complete work in changing situations.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Have the ability to travel within 60-75 miles of greater Charlotte Metro Area.
• Must pass a pre-employment background screening.
