Aerotek in Wheeling, WV is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for landfill construction. You will operate CAT D6 dozers and production excavators, perform grading, earthmoving, and cell development while meeting production and safety standards.

Work involves long shifts (10-12 hours), outdoor site conditions, and potential travel across the region. Training on Trimble GPS and machine control may be used to ensure precision and efficiency.

Formación

• Minimum of 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• 3+ years operating CAT dozers and/or production excavators.
• Experience on landfill or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read grade stakes, plans, and machineControl displays.
• Comfortable on steep grades and uneven terrain; strict safety adherence.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsabilidades

• Operate CAT D6 dozers and production excavators safely and efficiently on landfill and heavy civil construction projects.
• Construct and maintain landfill cells in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Perform grading, cut/fill, and earthmoving operations to achieve required elevations, tolerances, and compaction standards.
• Work confidently on slopes up to a 1:3 grade while maintaining slope tolerances and equipment stability.
• Utilize onboard Trimble GPS systems and machine control displays for grading, layout, and earthwork operations.
• Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and layout information to execute work accurately.
