Job summary

GOJO Industries, LLC (doing business as Clorox Purell) in Wooster, Ohio, is hiring a GPM Automation Technician for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, install, and optimize automated production equipment.

This onsite role requires 4 years of experience in industrial automation maintenance, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs; you will work with cross‑functional teams and support preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 4 years' experience in industrial automated machine maintenance, with trouble-shooting and diagnostic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Modify and maintain a variety of machines utilizing mechanical skills such as millwright, welding, electrician, pipe fitting, plumbing, and machining.
• Perform mechanical installations including pumps, pipes and valves, conveyors, sensors, motors, packaging equipment, and automated production equipment.
• Supply demand and PM work order information; provide estimates for materials, time, and downtime; document actual times and team participation.
• Function as a technical team member for inter and intra department teams.
• Assist in the orientation and training of employees.
• Recommend procedural changes or equipment improvements to enhance RS&B.
• Follow safety procedures and emergency procedures for hazardous waste handling.

Role Type: 100% Onsite. Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Role Objective

Trouble-shoot, repair, install, optimize and assist with preventive maintenance for site and Automated production equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Modify and maintain a variety of machines utilizing mechanical skills such as millwright, welding, electrician, pipe fitting, plumbing, and machining.
• Perform mechanical installations including but not limited to pumps, pipes and valves, conveyors, Sensors, motors, packaging equipment, and Automated production equipment.
• Supply demand and PM work order information. For new work orders provide estimated materials, estimated work time, work description, and estimated down time. For completed work orders provide actual work times, actual materials, notes on final equipment condition, and the names and employee numbers of all employees participating in completion of work order. Assist in inventory control.
• Function as a technical team member for inter and intra department teams.
• Assist in the orientation and training of employees.
• Recommend procedural changes or additions and equipment changes or additions to improve RS&B.
• Follow safety procedures and policies. Recommend new safety procedures or modification to existing procedures.
• Familiar with emergency procedures and equipment necessary to safely and effectively respond to an emergency involving hazardous waste.
• Assures hazardous wastes, universal wastes and used oil are placed in the appropriate container that is properly labeled, is in good condition and is closed.

Education and Experience

4 years' experience in industrial automated machine maintenance, with trouble-shooting and diagnostic responsibilities.
