Job summary

Mortenson Dental Partners is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our Indianapolis team. The role supports dentists and hygienists, delivering high-quality care in a collaborative, patient-centric environment.

Requirements include EFDA certification or equivalent, 2+ years EFDA experience, and current CPR/BLS. You should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong knowledge of dental procedures and equipment, with excellent communication and compassionate patient

Qualifications

• 2 years work experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment, assisting dentists and hygienists.
• Prepares treatment rooms, sterilizes instruments, passes instruments, and assists with suctioning.
• Places and finishes restorations, impressions, crowns/bridges, and adjusts occlusions.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, completes preliminary Impressions, makes and polishes temporary crowns, removal temporary crowns, and fitting of permanent crowns and bridges, adjusting occlusions and interproximal areas, application of sealants, and adjusting partials and dentures.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent.
• 2 years work experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant( EFDA) required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
