Job summary

Maria de los Santos Health Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide primary care to underserved communities within our residency program. You will join a supportive team dedicated to learning and service.

As a member of the primary health care team, you will render professional medical services, document visits in the chart, and participate in credentialing and administrative reporting to support the residency.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school is required.
• Possession of a current license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania is required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Interest in precepting medical students and residents.
• Minimum of one year experience as a practicing physician in primary health care setting is preferred.
• Meets credentialing and privileging criteria as outlined by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to underserved communities within the Delaware Valley Community Health system.
• Join Residency Faculty as part of the Family Medicine Residency Training Program.
• Render professional medical services to patients with attention to vulnerable populations and barriers to care.
• Document patient visits thoroughly in electronic health records and perform administrative reporting as assigned.

We are looking for a Primary Care Physician interested in providing primary care to underserved communities and join us as Residency Faculty as we enter into the 3rd year of our ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Training Program. As a member of the primary health care team, this position is responsible for rendering professional medical services to the patient population of Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc.. This position provides care to patients with special awareness of vulnerable populations treated in the health centers that may face barriers to care due to residence, health, age, personal characteristics, ability to communicate, chronic illnesses and comorbidities, high ER utilization, developmental status or financial status. The position is also accountable for the complete documentation of patient visits in the patient chart as well as administrative reporting activities as assigned by management.
