Job summary

Windward Ltd. is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer to join the government team in Washington DC. You will lead the technical side of the sales process, serve as the SME for government solutions, and collaborate with sales directors to win US Federal contracts.

You will design tailored solutions, run demos and PoCs, develop RFP/RFI responses, and coordinate with marketing, product, and customer success teams. Experience with API integrations and GenAI tools is valued, with up to 33% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Solution Expert/Pre-Sales in a SaaS company selling to government agencies.
• Knowledge of government budget cycles and tender processes.
• US Facility Clearance – Top Secret/SCI advantageous.
• Experience with API integration and API-based solution delivery.
• Technical familiarity with space-based collection platforms for imagery and electronic intercepts is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 33%.
• Experience working in a global company is a plus.
• Experience with GenAI tools is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical side of the sales process and help convert prospects into customers.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Windward’s solutions for government agencies.
• Lead client discovery to identify pain points and opportunities.
• Design tailored solutions to support winning contracts.
• Serve as the primary technical contact during the sales cycle.
• Develop and deliver demos, presentations, trials, and technical materials.
• Lead PoC and value workshops to support strong business cases.
• Analyze client requirements and infrastructure to craft RFP/RFI responses.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience based on trial feedback.
• Understand the market landscape and communicate Windward’s advantages.
