Job summary

SOC LLC is hiring a Systems Engineer in the Government Services division to design, deploy, and manage secure IT infrastructure for government contracts. You will configure Windows Server ecosystems, VMware clusters, and storage arrays while ensuring compliance with NISP and DoD regulations.

You will mentor junior engineers, author documentation, and coordinate with security teams to maintain availability, security, and regulatory alignment across the enterprise infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5+ years configuring, deploying, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in secure environments.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ and Network+ are preferred.
• Additional certifications (MCSE, CCNA, VCP) are highly regarded.
• Ability to obtain government security clearances and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure networks, servers, and storage for government operations.
• Manage Windows Server environments, VMware clusters, and storage arrays for high availability and performance.
• Evaluate systems to identify bottlenecks and strengthen security posture.
• Plan upgrades and changes with minimal disruption and strict change control.
• Create and maintain SOPs, standards, and security policies to meet regulations.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.
• Ensure handling of sensitive data complies with government mandates.
• Collaborate with security, PMs, and stakeholders to align IT with contracts.
• Contribute to capacity planning and resource allocation.
