Job description

Summary: The Government Sales Representative develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of an organization’s products and/or services to government agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains and nurtures relationships with government customers.
2. Understands and able to navigate the government bidding and buying processes.
3. Quotes and negotiates process, delivers contracts and closes orders.
4. Grows and develops customer relationships and loyalty to increase total revenue and gross profit.
5. Manages and controls sales expenses.
6. Meets or exceeds sales goals.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time, commission based, 30-hours per week position.
