Ideal candidates are pursuing a US-based bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Relations, or Communications, with strong research and writing skills and an interest in politics and policy. Office-based internship with exposure to government affairs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a US-based bachelor’s degree and eligible to work in the United States.
• Interest in politics, government, public policy or communications.
• Willingness to work in a non-partisan manner.
• Strong research, writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and presentation of materials for lobbying and outreach efforts.
• Create slides or other visual presentations; write promotional material and updates; coordinate press releases with Communications.
• Coordinate various tasks related to special outreach efforts.
• Track current legislation and amendments moving through the congressional process.
• Cover congressional hearings/markups and other policy events; summarize policy debates and monitor policymakers’ statements.
• Maintain vote/policy stance grids and other duties as assigned.
