Job summary

EY's Government & Public Sector Assurance practice is expanding, and as an analyst you’ll support the delivery of quality assurance services to federal, state, local and education clients. You’ll learn current issues, build relationships, and work with teams to drive effective audits and assurance engagements across a broad public sector portfolio.

You’ll collaborate with assurance teams, apply professional standards, and contribute to client service in a hybrid work model with some travel.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance or higher.
• Sufficient coursework to achieve CPA certification upon passing the examination.
• Excellent project management skills and strong written/verbal communication.
• Teamwork and leadership, with willingness to travel 25–30% in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and build relationships with team members.
• Learn about current issues, profession, and business developments relevant to the client’s industry.
• Document audit procedures accurately and challenge past procedures to enhance techniques.
• Demonstrate professionalism in the audit client’s environment and maintain client focus.
