Job summary

The Building People is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to support the management of furnishings, window treatments, equipment, and appliances for Special Command Positions and senior government personnel in privatized housing. The role covers logistics, warehousing, and preventive maintenance to ensure government-owned properties remain in optimal condition.

Key duties include overseeing delivery, installation, minor repairs, and disposal of furnishings, with a background check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in managing preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of equipment and furnishings.
• Ability to handle maintenance of appliances such as ice makers, refrigerators, trash compactors, and instant hot water dispensers, including cleaning, filter replacement, and minor repairs.
• Strong understanding of maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
• Experience documenting and reporting maintenance issues, property loss, or abuse.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery, installation, and disposal of furnishings and government-furnished equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on appliances and equipment.
• Manage maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Document and report maintenance issues, property loss, or abuse to leadership and government representatives.
