Job summary

State of Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Government Operations Consultant I in Tallahassee to analyze financial disbursements for the State Revolving Fund. You will review requests for accuracy, maintain project spreadsheets, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

This on-site role requires a 40-hour week with core hours 9 AM–3 PM. The incumbent will collaborate with project sponsors, prepare documentation, and provide policy recommendations to support

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license is required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred: Associate’s degree in business or finance or two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial disbursement/payment requests and review for mathematical accuracy and proper documentation.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and agreements; repair disbursement/payment forms and maintain spreadsheets.
Maintain disbursement spreadsheets for individual projects using spreadsheet software and databases.
Work on-site, 40 hours per week, with core hours 9 AM–3 PM.
Provide technical assistance and develop procedures to improve program operations.
Prepare reports and documentation for official project files and inserts into OCULUS.
