Job summary

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Tallahassee is seeking a Government Operations Consultant I to support the Division of Marine Fisheries Management. You will handle purchases, fleet maintenance, receptionist duties, budgeting support, and routine office tasks within a dynamic state agency. The role requires strong computer skills, the ability to manage inquiries, and adherence to Florida procurement rules.

You’ll work Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional office experience or substitution of an associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for majority of purchases for the Division, creating and processing purchase orders and P-Card transactions.
• Coordinate budget processes with the division budget manager and deputy director as needed.
• Serve as a receptionist for the division and manage a multi-line phone system.
• Maintain vehicle logs, upkeep Tallahassee vehicles, and coordinate fleet tasks.
• Respond to inquiries from the Office of the Executive Director and ensure deadlines are met.
