thread is seeking a Grants Manager to lead its government grants program in Alaska. You will identify, secure, and steward funding from Federal, State, and Local sources, overseeing the full lifecycle from research to reporting.

You will collaborate with program and finance teams, ensure compliance, and manage budgets and timelines to advance thread's mission for affordable, high-quality child care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's preferred.
• Five to seven years of grant development and management experience.
• Proven track record securing government grants.
• Experience developing competitive proposals and managing reporting.
• Knowledge of grant compliance, budgeting, and nonprofit financial practices.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience with Alaska state agencies and federal grants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage a comprehensive annual government grants calendar.
• Develop and execute a grants growth strategy aligned with goals.
• Research and evaluate opportunities from federal, state, and local sources.
• Write proposals, LOIs, and case statements; manage portfolio of grants.
• Lead proposal development with narratives, budgets, and attachments.
• Coordinate with program, finance, and leadership teams.
