Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join the State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the West Region. The role involves leading engagements, managing teams, and delivering high-quality audits for local, county, and state agencies.

Required CPA license and at least 6 years in a public accounting environment, with experience in governmental and single audits preferred. Compensation varies by location (CA/CO) and is competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits and single audits preferred.
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in securing funding to support community impact.
• Assist clients with audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
• Mentor staff, oversee client engagement teams, and oversee engagement progress.
