Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Government Affairs Manager to lead external affairs at our Pecan Island launch site in Louisiana, overseeing local and state government relationships, community and business outreach, and educational initiatives.

You will build networks with civic leaders, monitor policy developments, and collaborate with SpaceX Communications to advance priorities. Willingness to travel statewide and reside near Vermilion Parish is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years in public affairs, government policy or related areas.
• Experience with local government policy, advocacy, legislative navigation or crisis management preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with civic leaders across Pecan Island and the Louisiana region to support SpaceX priorities.
• Develop, maintain, and expand a network of relationships with local government officials and regulators.
• Monitor and analyze local/regional policy developments; create policy materials as needed.
• Partner with SpaceX Communications to identify outreach and messaging opportunities.
• Support statewide government relations priorities for SpaceX and SpaceXAI.
