Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a student intern to support the Government Affairs team in monitoring policy related to US semiconductor manufacturing from Malta, NY. You will watch hearings, summarize legislation, report industry trends, and engage with domestic and international partners.

The role requires 40 hours per week, up to 10% travel, and fluency in English. Opportunities include mentorship, professional development, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education – At least a junior in a degree program related to international security, public policy or related field.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Support GF Government Affairs with internal communications and updates.
• Identify external stakeholders and help manage partnerships to advance development objectives.
• Coordinate with external network of third parties to implement GF policies and strategies.
• Assist in executive engagements with external partners across government and industry, domestically and internationally.
• Perform all activities in a safe and compliant manner with EH&S requirements.
