Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a corporate communications intern to support messaging and outreach related to U.S. government affairs, manufacturing, innovation and sustainability from Malta, NY.

You will research industry developments and translate complex topics into clear materials for executive engagements and external stakeholders. The role offers hands-on experience in corporate storytelling, public affairs communications, and reputation management, with mentorship and professional development

Qualifications

• Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.
• Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal).
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading corporate messaging, talking points, briefing materials, presentations, fact sheets, Q&A, and other communications supporting government affairs and corporate initiatives.
• Assist with corporate storytelling and thought leadership materials, including website copy and blog articles, with focus on policy, manufacturing, innovation, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with government affairs, corporate communications, and subject matter experts to ensure materials are accurate and tailored to audiences.
• Help maintain messaging resources, editorial calendars, and project trackers; coordinate review processes and incorporate feedback under guidance.
