Job summary

Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks an Enterprise Data Architect (Governance) to strengthen data governance, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, and trusted data use across the Digital Workplace.

The role defines governance architecture, standards, and integration patterns, working with cybersecurity, compliance, and platform teams. This hybrid role requires ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and is based in Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of enterprise data architecture, governance, or information management experience.
• Experience implementing data catalog, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, or data quality capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop data governance architecture, policies, standards, and stewardship models.
• Lead data catalog, metadata ingestion, lineage, quality rules, and ownership workflows.
• Assess data assets, governance maturity, and determine implementation priorities.
• Define data classification, access, privacy, retention, and quality controls with cybersecurity and compliance partners.
• Support catalog configuration, metadata ingestion, and governance workflow design.
• Collaborate with data architects, analytics engineers, business owners, and platform teams to align governance with delivery.
• Produce governance roadmaps, operating procedures, and adoption materials.
