MIKEL is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead all accounting, financial reporting, and government compliance activities for a growing defense-focused firm in Middletown, RI. The role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on execution of GAAP, FAR/DCMA requirements, and cost accounting.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint, DCAA/DCMA audits, and manufacturing cost accounting, and will supervise the accounting team, manage budgets, and provide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 7 years progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years Controller or Assistant Controller experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting U.S. Government contractors.
• Extensive experience with DCAA and DCMA compliance requirements.
• Experience using Deltek Costpoint ERP.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in GAAP.
• Lead monthly and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Collaborate with departments and leadership to optimize financial outcomes.
