Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Team Leader to support our U.S. Military and Government clients with seamless travel management services.

You will lead a team of travel consultants, coach performance, and use data to drive service excellence in a 24/7 operation, coordinating staffing and daily work while partnering with senior leaders on delivery for federal customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a travel consultant.
• 4+ years in a customer service environment.
• Sabre GDS experience required.
• Experience issuing tickets and working Sabre queues preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong focus on customer service satisfaction requirements.
• Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
• Willingness to adapt; defense & Government experience a plus.
• Hours are 24x7x365; able to work late or weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and coaching to a team of travel consultants.
• Drives change and employee engagement through effective communication.
• Use data to monitor counselors’ activity and trends for performance feedback.
• Leadership tasks including coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.
• Organize and execute daily work with available staff.
• Work as part of a leadership team.
